MISSION

What is the Episcopal Church all about?

Like all true Christian churches, Christ Church undertakes to serve The Great Commission as written in the end of the Gospel of Matthew:

Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Sprit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

To that end, Christ Church has also developed the following mission:

Christ's Body was broken for us in order to reconcile us to the Father. Christ incarnate embodies our broken humanity in order to make us whole in mind and sprit.

By Christ healing our brokenness, we here at Christ Church are a Holy people. We are a royal priesthood commissioned for the work of healing within our own broken bodies, within the fragmented community, within our pluralistic diocese and within the alienated world.
