Christ Church History
In May 1879, a lot 50 X 112 feet was purchased from Mr. P.T. Barnum for $150. The value of the lot was $400, the concession in price being a gift to the church from Mr. Barnum.

Appeals for contributions to the building fund were sent our January 25, 1888 and by May 1888 $1800 had been received.
The church was opened for services on Trinity Sunday, June 3, 1888.

By 1988 the exterior of the church had received a facelift

And by 1990, the Fellowship Hall had been added to the original building. This extension doubled the size of Christ Church and made the church handicapped accessible

Christ Church interior has changed over the years as well. Over time, the choir loft, pipe organ and stained glass windows were removed.
Here the church is decked out for Christmas and Easter.

Christ Church received a new roof in 2008.
The dark paneling was removed from the interior of the church and a choir stall was installed.
