Welcome

We invite you to join us in responding to the many ways in which Jesus calls us at Christ's Church:

Jesus calls us to celebrate the bounty of God's grace.  All that we are and all that we have we owe to our Creator and to our Savior Jesus Christ whose sacrifice on the cross restored us to God's fellowship.  Our response is to worship God - Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  This is our first call as God's people.  we gather weekly to praise and worship and thank the Lord - to hear His Word - to gather around the Eucharist table.  In His presence we partake of His body and blood - baptize new believers - witness marriages and return our dead to the Lord.

We invite you to join us in the great privilege of worshiping the Lord.

Jesus calls us to share our joys and our sorrows in the pastoral care ministered in His name throughout our parish.  Visits to the ill, shut-ins, and persons in nursing homes, counseling for baptism, marriage, spiritual growth and life crises help us to minister Jesus' love and care in our times of joy and need.

We invite you to join us in this great privilege of continuing Christ's Pastoral care to His people.

Jesus calls us to reach out to our community and to the world with His message of forgiveness and reconciliation and care.  Our outreach ministry touches many parts of northern Brookhaven through AA and the Welcome Inn and our partnership in the Shalom Interfaith project - we also support missionary and social outreach activities in the U.S. and abroad.

We invite you to join us in this great privilege of serving Christ in others in ministry to the world.

Jesus calls us into deeper relationship with himself.  Our aim at Christ's Church is to know the Lord and to make Him known to others.  Christian Education seeks to make Him known - to give us opportunities to study the record of God's revelation to us and to encourage us to a personal relationship and commitment to Christ.  It provides us with opportunities to explore our faith history - to understand who we are as a people of God and why we do the things we do.  we provide religious education opportunities for all ages - children and adult.

We invite you to join us in this great privilege of knowing the Lord and making Him known to others.

In grateful response to our Lord Jesus Christ - in whom there is neither Jew nor Greed, slave nor free, male nor female - we extend a welcome to every person, regardless of race, sex, social or economic status, sexual orientation or past behavior.  We oppose prejudice in ourselves and others and affirm that we are all sinners who need to repent.

We invite you to join us in the great privilege of being a part of the called out community - the Body of Christ - Christ Church.
